 Blossoming Sunshine
The essence of my collection is to design for individuals (women or those who identify with or feel comfortable in pieces designed for feminine cuts) who have bodies full of curves or adhere to ideals where they don't feel comfortable wearing low-cut clothing; Clothing full of color and elegance, without the need to show skin. Support and comfort.
"Extraordinary and mysterious around the pool."
Please note, I've made this collection whilst on CEDIM.
The materials I used were all natural fabrics, such as jute, cotton, and linen. You can see the colors I used below. One of the challenges for this collection was to draw inspiration from a palette provided by WGSN.
Here is the moodboard for inspiration, please note I don't own the following pictures.
Here is the catwalk I made for the designs, I wanted to have different silhouettes and different bodies, since we all have different bodies. I wanted to represent all of us; now that I see it I could have made different color bodies but I won't be harsh on myself since it was my first collection, but I always believe in inclusivity and want that to always reflect on my designs.
For an added bonus here are the plain trace for the two pieces I made.
These are some of the pictures I chose for the collection. I took them on a cloudy day in December, so I was freezing, but the show must go on. My teacher advised me to create only two items from the designs. I decided to make a Palazzo and an Abaya to represent the two sides I wanted to show in the collection: the freeing aspect and the feminine essence.

At the end I hope you enjoy my collection, I'm very proud of how it turned out.
Everything I made belongs to CEDIM School of Design, with the exception of the pictures from WGSN and the moodboard.
